I also want to give a big shout out to my birthday twins JLC and Quite Contrary, who share this amazing birthday with me. Head on over to their blogs and wish them the best!
I got presents this morning!!! I was hooked up with several running tanks, a nifty little pouch to attach to my shoe to hold my keys when I run (yes, I usually put my keys in my sock...and it hurts!), a much needed garlic press, and this little gem I have been asking for since Christmas:

No more cookies sticking to the pan! And...it's supposed to stop them from spreading as well and helps them to keep their shape better in the oven. I can't wait to try it out! So far, so good honey! I am so feeling the love :)
About three weeks ago, a guy that I work with copied me a sermon he was giving at the local City Mission, and guess what it was about?? Birthdays! I told him my birthday was only a few weeks away and yesterday he gave me a card which included some bible verses. I wanted to share two of them with you today:
Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
Psalm 139: 13-16
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
His sermon stressed the importance of birthdays, the day Christ made the unique you! Some people may think of their birthday as just another day, but that was the day God created a one of a kind us. God made you and me for a reason and therefore this day is special and should be celebrated!
"We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." ~exert from sermon
What a neat message...and right before my very own birthday! Coincidence? I think not!
So in celebration, (ha...not!) I have a Dr.'s Appointment in the afternoon, so I am taking a 1/2 day at work. You know what is the best thing about starting work at 6:30 am?? When you take a 1/2 day, you get to leave at 10:30 am. Isn't that fabulous!?!
After my appointment, Hubs and I are going to a seafood dinner which I am super excited about! And then...what I have been dying for since yesterday...cake! I'll be sure to give you a full update tomorrow!
