Yesterday was the day. I went to the salon and started off with a pedicure. I haven't had one since May and somehow I have completely lost my touch at doing my own toenails. They always look awful! So yes, I paid someone money to paint my nails. And it was so worth it! They are beautiful purple (which is apparently very in right now...I'm so cutting edge!) and I love them. I didn't want to post a pic though because I am anti feet photos on blogs. It's my policy :) Plus, my sister wouldn't read my blog again if I posted a picture of a foot.
And as an aside...the lady looked at me when we were done and said, "Have you ever had your eyebrows waxed?" I responded, generally stunned at her forwardness, saying, "No...do you think I should?" Since apparently she does the eyebrow waxing she said...yes...for more definition of course...and to help the shape of my face. I took this time to check out her pencil thin eyebrows and then politely decline. Um, I like my eyebrows lady. And I'd like them to continue to look like eyebrows and not like this:
Now onto my hair cut. We decided on more of the Nicole Ritchie look. I didn't get a before pic because my hair had been up all day so it was seriously creased. But here is a recent pic:

Now, as I've said, I have to wear it up for work. So here's what it looked like this morning:
I'm able to get all of it up and bobby pin back the bangs. They are all up in my eyes if I don't and that gets on my last nerve.
So, do I like it? I'm not sure yet. I think I do. I'm not used to having hair in my face and honestly it is driving me a little bananas....but now that I have figured out the magic of bobby pins, I'm okay. I'll do the bangs when I wear my hair down...which I intend to do more often on the weekends now that I don't have to straighten the craziness that was my before pic.
