Ah, a working out post. Oh how I have neglected you...
So you may've wondered where the old Jenny went? The girl who posted about running, WW, and trying to eat healthy. Want to know what happened to her? Well, the Dr. told her to take a few days off to recoup...and she took almost two weeks! Yeah, I know! Bad Jenny.
However, you will be excited to know that I have started to run again (just not as far as I once could...imagine that!) and I am back to WW. And honestly, I didn't gain NEAR the amount of weight that I thought I did...so I'm actually feeling very motivated.
So I've been riding the Shred train for a while now...but I must admit...I never really committed to the program. I did it quite sporadically and it became more of an afterthought to my other workouts making it very easy to skip. Well, no more!
In order to attempt to remedy the fact that by the time I got home from the gym....I no longer had the energy or will power to listen to Jillian scream at me...I have decided to work out with her in the mornings. Now, for those of you who have been with me for a while...you know that I start work at 6:30 a.m. This rendezvous with Jillian is really cutting into the little bit of sleep I get. But...I have a plan (shocker!)
I'm going to try this out for 6 weeks...really commit to the whole 30 day Shred concept. So I'll be doing Level 1 for 5 days a week for two weeks, then onto Level 2, etc. In 6 weeks, I will officially be shredded! She told me this morning I was well on my way!
I'm hoping I can stick it out. This morning I was able to bound out of bed with no problem...pretty good for a Monday morning! I suspect there will be roadblocks ahead, but I am trying to remain focused and keep my eyes on the prize...the very, very skinny prize!
I'm planning on updating when I switch levels just to see how my progress is going. I think I'll take some measurements today as a starting point. That should be interesting.

Good luck I have always wanted to be a morning workout person but never could get in a groove. I hope it works out for you.
I'd love the skinny prize but I have to get motivated before I can even start that challenge! Good luck!
You can do it, girl!
Good luck on the shred!!!!!!!! ...i've yet to watch mine or attempt doing it. :/
You can totally do it!!! I think updating your results as you switch levels will really help motivate, that really helped me.
good luck!! and please keep progress of the shred and let me know!! xxxoo
You can do it, girl!! I loveee your motivation!
Good luck! I might start the Shred (I know, after all the booing I've been giving it), but only because it's on-demand for free.
I hope you just LOVE who you are at any phase - girls...we go up and down but you are just perfect right now! Here's to health!
I just started the Shred too! and ill be honest..its kicking my butt! lol. Please do keep us updated..I could use the motivation! Good luck! : ]
Hahah, I read the title and knew EXACTLY where this post was going to go (or at least that you were going to mention Jillian!) haha.
I've always done what you mentioned doing in the past -- used it sporadically. I think I need to make it more of a habit as well so that I can get myself to level 2! :)
YAY for you!! I haven't tried the Shred yet. I'm scared. Although, months ago, I bought a hips, butt and thighs workout DVD that I have a date with tomorrow AM (since I have meetings all day and will miss my favorite body sculpt class at the gym--boo)--so, we'll see how that goes!
cant wait to read of your progess. i feel the same way, while ifeel good after ive done it, but i never did the whole 30 day plan or got passed level 1. perhaps i should join your team and do it together!
I am 2 workouts away from completing the 30 day shred. Buuuut...it has taken me almost 4 months to do each level 10 times. Haha! I may try it again but this time aim to complete it all in a month or two.
Good luck!!!
You go girl! I kind of gave up on the Shred. I have started another program and maybe one day I'll blog about it! I just got sick of the repetition of the Shred...I was so bored, all the time. Plus, I felt like I was doing so much work but never actually losing weight or getting stronger. Blah.
