A Tour of the Nursery!

Alright friends.  You've waited long enough.  Plus, this is probably as good as it's going to get before our little girl arrives.

So prepare yourself for the big nursery reveal!!!

After picking out her bedding and furniture, I knew I wanted to go with something on the walls besides pink.  Yellow is what I came up with and I think it turned out just perfectly.  Here's a shot of her crib and glider.  And see where that little Sleep Sheep is on the nightstand?  I just ordered a little lamp to go there with pretty pink daisies on it so I can feed and read to our little girl at night without turning on all the lights.

Here's another shot of her crib with the bouncer all assembled and waiting for her.  Let me tell you, behind the stroller...that thing was a PAIN to put together.  Who knew something so small could be so difficult?

These are the curtains I picked out for our little one.  I have a support that needs to go in the middle because I feel as if they are sagging a little bit there...but that's a man's job.

Here's her dresser/changing table.  All the drawer are already full.  And just of things that she'll need or fit into right away.  Girl is spoiled...  Also, in the corner, pay attention to the wooden crib.  That was mine when I was a little girl.  I used it to play with all of my dolls.  My grandma (who has since passed away) forced my grandpa to save it for me all these years so I could give it to my little girl.  Well, I picked it up over Thanksgiving and that's exactly what I'm going to do!

Here's a little closer shot at the bedding in the crib.  And don't worry, I'm removing those beautiful bumpers before I put her in there.  I just wanted to see how they looked before I was forced to take them out.  Why do stores even sell them if you shouldn't use them??  Ludicrous.

And most importantly, the view from her window.  So serene!

I'm planning on putting one of those wall decals over her crib with a bible verse I have chosen once we narrow down her name.  And I have ordered several other wall decorations.  So this is very much a starting point...but I thought I'd share what I've done so far.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!!!

You can use the bumpers until they start moving/scooting around! We used ours up until about month 4 because he was swaddled. Enjoy them for a little!! OH, and then when they are FULLY mobile and have blankets and stuffed animals in there, they can usually go back in! :)

So pretty! I used a bumper for Emma, she rolled around so much that she needed it! Do you have an angel care monitor? Get one of those, it beeps like crazy if it does not dectect movement/breathing for 20 seconds - we had the alarm go off a few times in the middle of the night when Emma's breathing was shallow and trust me its scary as hell but I was so thankful for it.

OMG, Jenny, it's so beautiful. It's perfect. Can I move in? I promise, I'll just sleep in a ball on the floor.

I got teary reading about the little baby crib, that's so sweet. My dad's best friend made a bassinet for my half sister and my dad gave it to me for when I have kids. It's so wonderful to have those family tresures!

It looks GREAT!!!! Good job, momma!

It's amazing how much thought and work go into a nursery! If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the rocker/glider? That's the one thing we're having a hard time with --- the cheapest ones still aren't "cheap" but they look cheaply made and the expensive ones are oh, so comfy, but I just can't let myself spend that much on a rocker!!!!

GOOD WORK - it's beautiful! And I love her view!

Beautiful! And I think we have the same changing table! Is it part of the Bella Collection from JCP? If not, then they look ALOT alike! We didn't get the hutch piece though. Also....pretty sure we have that bouncer in non girly colors and I agree, it was a PAIN to put together!

She's almost here!! Can't believe it!

We have a sleep sheep too and it was great in the beginning, but after a while, she kept waking up whenever it shut off after 45 minutes! I wish it has a longer setting. As well, the heartbeat one sounds really freaky on mine. Too slow.

I hear congratulations are in order!
