What's Happening

I've been feeling a little disconnected lately with this little blog of mine. And trying to think of clever, interesting things to share is just not happening. Let's face it. I live a simple life. Yesterday I went to work, watched two episodes of Lost, went to the gym, watched another two episodes of Lost, and then went to bed. Interesting? No. I was bored just recapping that for you.

So in lieu of something new and exciting going on in my life, I thought I would give you bullets...AKA...a way to formulate a post when not one thing in your life is worth writing a whole post about. Ta da!
  • I'm completely over the snow. Just when our driveway was finally cleared off...what happened? It snowed again. And there is another 4-6 inches expected through tomorrow. I can deal with the cold a little longer. But the snow. Not so much.
  • I'm super jealous of my sister who leaves for her cruise next week. A week on a ship with unlimited food and fun sounds like just what I need right now!
  • I'm thinking of joining the women's bible study at our church. I've always shied away from it since it was during the week and we live so far away...but my urge to get more involved and invest in my own walk just continues to tug at my heart.
  • I'm one book away from finishing the entire Bible.
  • I actually miss my husband the second I walk out the door in the morning.
  • I haven't decorated a cake in 2 months. I've enjoyed the break.
  • Still spinning. Still loving it. Butt hurts!
  • Hubs leaves next month for a week for work. I despise sleeping alone and being without him...but I'm weirdly excited about my week of full reign on dinner and T.V. I pictures endless hours of Lost whilst eating cereal for dinner. Love it.

I like the bulleted list idea. :) I often feel disconnected from my blog, too, and end up running through a list of [mostly boring] things I've been engaging in. I do love that you're doing spinning - I tried it, but haven't returned, even though I'd love to! It is such a fantastic workout.

I don't think you're alone - lots of people in blogland are taking hiatuses right now. I feel like it's dead out there! I have a love/hate relationship with Husby's work trips. I love the first day - having much needed me time, eating whatever I want for dinner, too much dessert, watching girlie movies, etc.

But I hate the minute it's time for bed and I realize I'm in a big house all by myself. Houses are scary alone. I need my Husby to keep me feeling safe. Plus, I love the crap out of him. Dang men.

I, too, dread when my bf is out of town, but I always end up enjoying myself so much more than I thought I would. It's kind of refreshing to eat whatever (and whenever), hog the tv, and really truly do whatever the heck I want. Plus, your plan of watching lots of Lost and eating cereal for dinner sounds wonderful!

The perk to no hubby is the weird dinners and tons of TV with no schedule, even I'll admit that!

there are definitely slow periods in the blog world that's for sure! Life gets really busy, or nothing seems exciting enough to post about. I blame it on the winter. It's depressing and exhausting. Please summer, hurry up!

Ahh, bullet points. Inspiration for the uninspired. I've used them myself a time or two. :) I've been in a similar routine - work, gym, dinner, tv. Last night I went to the gym, had dinner and THEN had a bowl of cereal. Ooops. Can we call that dessert?

Congratulations on almost finishing the Bible! In January I started the One Year Bible program, and, surprisingly, I have stuck with it and am right on track!

i think that a week by yourself will be great. you can totally have weird secret single behaviors and watch whatever you want and eat ice cream for dinner if you feel like it! :)

also - would it be rude to demand one of your cakes for my birthday? yes? bummer.
