My office is freezing...and I cannot stand being cold. My fingers go numb from being outside my gloves when I type on the computer. I literally warm them next to our 700 degree ovens after lunch because it is impossible for me to warm up after drinking 32 oz of cold water.
I get irritated when my co-workers do not take me seriously or when people who are not my boss tell me what to do. Unclear if this is due to the fact that I am young, the only female in my department, or have been here the least amount of time...but boy does it irk me. I find this hole one of which I cannot dig myself out.

Y'all know how I feel about birds. They scare me more than anything. I almost didn't include them in this post because looking up pictures of them made my heart pound! But...if I'm talking about things I don't like...these nasty guys top the list.
But you know what I do love??
Mini Vacations!!
Matt and I are going on a mini trip this weekend...not really for pleasure...for work...but it should be a good time. I can't wait to share more details with you guys when we can! The weekend cannot come soon enough!

I agree with EVERYTHING you wrote!!! last winter I think i wore my coat and scarf every day at work
Awwww.. sorry for all the things you dont like... I always bring a cardigan with me to work!!! and have so much fun on the mini vacay... xxxxooo
My office is always freezing!! There's a thermostat, but, it's actually just for looks--how cruel is that?!?
I won an inflatable decoration for a charity event. So every year for christmas Frost goes up, he is only about 7 feet tall. But I do agree they are getting taller and I think uglier. My office is freezing too but only at my desk. I sit close enough to the employee entrance that I get all the air ducks for the door. I am sure HR hates me everyday when I bug them about the temp. But yet the rest of the office is just fine, some parts of the office is actually warm! Grr
I would agree that I dislike all of those things. Especially inflatables and birds. In our first apartment, we lived in a basement and our bedroom had one long window that was level with the ground in the front yard. When Christmas came, we were so excited to put some lights on that window since that was the only outdoor decorating we could really do. Then we came home one night and the people who lived above us had decorated and had put two giant inflatable Santas right in front of our window :( I was so sad. Plus, they lit up, so every night I had to try to get to sleep with the glow of santa shining in my eyes. Finally, I started going out and unplugging them at around 9 pm ... they got the hint.
I can't wait to hear about your trip!
I hate all of those things, too. Birds creep me out, especially when there are a gazillion birds. I really don't like much of anything in large numbers...blech.
And...I am literally shivering in my office, AS WE SPEAK. Um, write. Whatever. It is so freaking cold in here that I think I may have to buy a space heater. Literally. It is literally that cold in here.
Where are you going for your trip??! Excitement!!!!!!
I agree with all of these!!
I hate inflatables too! Sooo tacky!
tell those coworkers to get off their high horses and you can rock even being young, the newbie, and a woman, ha! I can't wait to hear about the mini vacay, yaay!!
I despise inflatable decorations too! I knew there was a reason I liked you.
I used to keep a heating pad at my chair to keep me warm since space heaters weren't allowed. Worked wonders. Just an idea...
Have fun on your mini vacay! Can't wait to hear all about it.
Holy crap. Were we separated at birth?!? This sounded like it came straight out of my mouth. Seriously lol. I have a space heater at work.. in the summer.. for this exact reason!! :)
I agree with everything!!! I haaaate inflatables. Like you said, they are so tacky. Plus, I always look at them and think, "you could have put in a little effort to make your house look halfway decent!" but, instead, people resort to these and they look so blah. And the cold thing? I get so flippin' cold. I'm the girl who still wears jeans and fleeces when people are sweating their tushes off in the summertime.
my office is always cold too. recently i found where the thermostat is for my area. it said "do not touch". i touched it, cranked up the heat ;)
yay for a mini vacation!!
Hi, new reader here!
I HATE all those things! Especially being cold in the office when it's SUMMER and nice and HOT outside. (i think it's the coffee drinkers that turn the AC way up)
Have a fun trip.
the inflatable things drive me insane too! they are so tacky and hello, where is your front door? oh there it is behind the giant reindeers that are taking up the entire front of your house!
I complete agree about the inflatables--they are getting so obnoixous too! Have you seen those massive snow globes at Christmas, ugh!
And the office thing--why do the places have it so cold?! You need a parka in some of these ones. :)
Amen about the giant inflatables...SOMEBODY needed to say it ;-)
My husband used to joke that he was going to drive around the neighborhood with a BB gun, shooting every inflatable we came across at Christmastime.
oh my gosh. i think those inflatables are hideous and tacky as well. the worse is when people have more then one in their yard. come on now!
and have fun on your mini vacation. lucky :)
I HATE being cold too! No matter what I'm always freezing at work!
Isn't it funny how a short week drags and we can't wait for the weekend? I am feeling the same way!
I totally agree about the freezing office!
I had to laugh about the birds, my brother in law is also terrified of them and once when we were all on vacation together, someone left a door open and bird swooped in and I thought he was going to crap his pants!
