Thursday Nights

My usual fall routine for Thursday nights is to watch The Office with Matt...a little bit of Grey's on the DVR...and either finish it in the morning or later the following day. Well, this got a little screwed up last night seeing as Grey's was on for 2 hours. Can I just say I despise 2 hour shows. Anyone with me on this? Er.

So I decided that since I didn't want to be out of the loop completely about the season premiere, I must skip my usual routine and head into the bedroom all by my lonesome and watch Grey's. These are a couple of things I learned last night:

  • I hate watching live TV. There are so many commercials! And they last so long that when the show comes back I don't even remember what is going on. I miss my DVR.
  • Staying up until 11 during the week is not smart. I am so tired today it is ridiculous! Who knew one hour could make that much of a difference?
  • I spent about 1 hour talking/sitting next to my husband all day yesterday and I don't like it one bit.
  • I now remember why I didn't like Grey's for about 2/3's of the season last year. I'm honestly kind of bored. I thought the first 2 to 3 seasons of Grey's were amazing...but the rest have left me disappointed. Sure, there are always those one or two episodes a season that are fantastic...and that is why I continue to watch. I watch for the hope of something better...oh...and to be "in" on the conversation at work :)

So next week, Grey's, it's back to the DVR with you! You will interrupt my sleep no longer...and if that means waiting a few more hours to find out what happened...well that's just fine with me.

It's Friday people!! Enjoy your weekend!

XOXO

Oh I hear you! I am tired this morning. And I wasn't that impressed with it really. I had things I wanted to see happen that didn't happen.

I SO do not have the attention span for a 2 hour show! I guess that's why I like HBO - no commercials! But True Blood just wrapped up it's season a couple of weeks ago so NOW WHAT DO I DO?? Looks like it's time to pull out the Scrabble again - ever played "naughty word" Scrabble with your hubby? FUN!! :-)

UGH I hate commercials, I always change the channel and then forget what I was watching or come back too late and miss part of the show!

I feel the same way about Grey's! I haven't watched it in a while because it just got kind of all over the place and weird.

DVR definitely spoils us. I can't sit through commercials anymore!

I tried to sit through all of Grey's last night, and it just did not happen. 2 hours is waaaay too long to keep focused on. Plus, I sort of feel like last night's episode could have been SO good, but it just ended up being a huge let down. Hopefully the season gets better. :)

Hope you also have a fantastic weekend!! :)

I so know what you mean!! I was so bored with Grey, I kept on pausing it to go talk to my boyfriend ;-)
I think
1) the show is getting boring
2) 2 hour shows are not a good idea

I love your blog, btw! :)

I had no idea Grey's was two hours long until the 2nd hour started. I did enjoy the episode, but I think the way they dealt with time passing bothered me a little.

I hate commercials with a passion! And I stopped watching Grey's when they killed off Denny.
