A Birthday to Remember

Ah, today, just another regular day. Unlike yesterday, which was super duper special! I got up to tons of presents which I mentioned yesterday...besides the awesome running socks of which I totally forgot. Check out my loot!

I left work at 10:30 am and relaxed on the couch, catching up on my seasons of Sopranos, and waited until about 12:30 pm to leave for the doctor. A couple hours later, turns out all of my freaking out was fairly unfounded and it looks like I'm going to be okay. I had potential "girl" issues and the thought of never being about to have babies of my own or having cancer scared the living crap ( crap is living) right out of me. But, after many, many prayers (the last of which I was nervously speaking out loud in the waiting room before my appointment--insert weird stares from other patients here) I seem to be out of the woods.

I came home to find 3 baby deer in my backyard!! I tried to find the camera quickly...but to no avail. Mama spotted me and off they ran. So cool though!

Matt came home early (yeah!) and surprised me with another gift, slippers! I love me some slippers, and mine are gross and falling apart. I love these! And they're pink...what could be better??

Oh I'll tell you what could be better...

On second thought, let me show you:

Yep. He reads my blog. I got cake AND a cookie cake!! What a day!

We had a little pre-dinner cake (!) and then went to out on the town!

Unfortunately, Matt had to buy 2 boxes of candles for the cake because I am too freaking old to get only one. That felt great. For dinner, we had some yummy calamari and I enjoyed a shrimp and scallop dinner with lobster mashed potatoes. It was simply wonderful. Matt basically had to roll me out of there, but it was wonderful nonetheless.

And don't worry, I was able to squeeze in a little bit of cookie cake before bed. I didn't want it to feel left out!

On another note, check out the word I got today after posting a comment to a blog:

Okay, how did Blogger know I didn't wash my hair today?? I'm officially freaked.
