Diamonds!

When you were engaged (or maybe even before you had a man...um, me!) did you ever go to those websites where you could build your own engagement ring?? I SO did. I had a bunch of designs picked out but I could never choose which one I really loved. Hubs actually ordered my engagement ring online and designed it all by himself. Pretty snazzy, huh?

Funny thing about this ring...when he proposed, it was a size 5...way too small for even my pinkie! When he placed the order, he figured that I would have the same size fingers as he did. He pulled up a ruler on the computer screen, measured his ring finger with a string, and compared it to the ruler on the screen. Genius, right? Well it turns out that the ruler on the screen wasn't to scale! Ha! This resulted in a WAY to small ring that had to immediately be sent back and re-sized. No biggie in the long run though. I am in love with it...and the man who gave it to me!

Well, I was recently introduced to Abazias Diamonds. What an awesome website they have! Not only can you design your own engagement ring (which is my personal favorite aspect of the site) but you can also scope out tons of other types of jewelry including earrings, bracelets, watches and more!

So my 2nd wedding anniversary is coming up in September. Do you think Matt will get me a beautiful diamond ring for my other hand? What if I offered to design it myself? It's super easy to pick out the shape of the diamond as well as your price, carat, clarity, and color range. I'm sure I could find something absolutely perfect!

He reads my blog...think he'll get my not-so-subtle hint? Here's hoping!

Robert also bought mone off line ater going shopping in person. They didn't have the exact ring he'd been looking for. He too did eveything on his own. I love my ring. He couldn't have done a better job:)

I totally spend too many hours of my life designing my own engagement ring on those sites, lol...I thought long and hard about the ring I wanted because I knew my husband would buy the one I wanted. I finally settled on the Tiffany Lucida ring and hubs had it made (because let's face it, why pay for the tiffany name?) hmmm, my 1 year anniversay is nearing, I wonder what i'll get??

Ahhh I did that, too!!! I always wanted something huge and gaudy, but in the end I just really wanted a solitaire :)

I'm hinting for a second band (mine has channel set diamonds) for the other side of my engagement ring :)

Oh, I totally used to design my own engagement ring. Bad girl! I got the ring of my dreams when Matt proposed to me...and I didn't even have to design it myself!

I hope you get diamonds for your anniversary..yayayay!

I didn't design my own ring but we put an engagement ring and wedding band together that wasn't really meant to go together and so in some ways, my set is very unique and I still love it!

I really hope the hubby gets the hint. Our 3rd anniversary is coming up but something tells me no diamonds will be involved.

I am totally guilty of designing rings and just ring shopping and I even email them to the mister in my life, esp now that we are talking about proposals, rings and weddings :) I like your ring, hubs did a good job!!

Hopefully he will get the memo about the right hand ring!

Love the last sentence.. :-) Here's to hoping he gets the hint! If not, just write it on a piece of paper and stick it somewhere he'll definitely find it.

Hint, hint! I love it!!

I hinted that I wanted another band to go with my wedding and engagement ring forever! I finally got it last year as a "we survived" (we had some intense family drama) gift. Although, they had to make the damn thing, so, I was totally "ringless" for 3 months! But, I got it the day we moved into our house. It was good timing.

This is the second person I know who's blogged on this. I love the idea of using it for an anniversary gift for us married girls!

I am new to your blog :)

That website where you can design your own ring sounds fun. They didn't have such things when I got engaged...in the last century. Really...it was 1999...hee hee.
