For awhile now I have been contemplating joining the Junior League of Cleveland. I really need to meet some people and what a great organization to do it through!
Well, I have my first Happy Hour for "recruits" on Friday at the Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar on the east side. What the heck does a girl wear to this?? Suggestions??
Is anyone a member of Junior League?? Like it...love it...hate it?? I'd love to know your thoughts about what I am getting myself into. I kinda feel like I'm going to an interview! I'm nervous they're going to take one look at me shoo me away because I'm not Junior League material. It's an intimidating group!
How the heck does this whole process work anyway?!?
Help!

Funny you should mention this, I just told Newlywed Husband that I was thinking about joining the JL of Dallas!
(I'd recommend wearing something Lilly P, it's the ultimate preppy-attire :)
Oh golly, it IS a hard thing to dress for, isn't it? I am a provisional in the Junior League of Pasadena and I LOVE it! It was intimidating at first, but I have met AWESOME girls and helping makes me FEEL GREAT! To MY first meeting, I wore a white button down blouse, cropped khakis, silver jack rogers and a silver and straw Kate Spade tote. How funny that I remember the outfit! I wanted to look nice without "trying" too hard! Please email me if you need anymore help or have any other questions!!

I look forward to following your journey! I've thought about this for myself at some point, so I'm excited to see the process through you :)
Good luck!
Love the new look! :) And that lasagna looks amazing...I'll have to give that recipe a try!
I don't know much about the Junior League, but it does seem like a good way to meet people and also do a lot of service-related fun activities!
You should totally invest in the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred - it's only about 25 minutes. And it flies by! Just when I feel like I can't do any more...the workout is over!
I have been in the Junior League for 22 years and I love it. It is a great organization of women with like interests and we do good things in the community too. The bonus is once you join, you can transfer to another league should you ever move. In addition to the social opportunities, the JL offers invaluable training that you will use both personally and professionally. I highly recommend it! Don't worry about dressing for the Happy Hour - in Baltimore, the JL uniform is anything from J. Crew, Talbot's or Lilly. Let me know how it goes.
im a provisional this year and love it so far!
