You Take the Cake!

So I should probably mention early on that I am super into cake decorating! I started last summer by taking two classes on the subject at Jo-Ann Fabric and Michael's. Then I did a TON of research online and just started to practice. I'm not sure exactly what got me started doing it...I think my giant sweet tooth had something to do with it...and perhaps the fact that I would take any excuse to accidentally make "too much icing!" But I have grown to LOVE it, and I really enjoy the cakes when they are complete. I do, however, appreciate all of the hard work and time that goes into making such beautiful cakes. This is a picture of our wedding cake. I can now truly say thank you so much to the people at A Piece of Cake in Greenwood, IN for making such a beautiful cake! I now understand how much time and effort this took, and I am SO appreciative.

So anyway, I thought I'd post a couple pictures of some of my favorite cakes that I have done.

And finally, the one that I am the most proud of...my little sister's wedding cake!!

Yum! I want some cake!
